DansoRio

Dzisiaj młodzież sercańska wróciła z Brazyli, z Międzynarodowych Dni Młodzieży. Delegacja naszej młodzieży była bardzo mała (Monika, Mitchel i Jigger) ale dobrze zaprezentowała się na spotkaniu dehoniańskim w Taubate i dniach mlodych w Rio de Janeiro. Przywieźli wiele wrażen do opowiedzenia i są bardzo szcześliwi. Jak sami mówią: „To bylo niezapomniane doświadczenie. Panowała tam wspaniała atmosfera i duch przyjaźni. Każdy dzielił się pokojem, radością i miłością... Pierwszy raz doświadczyliśmy osobiście czegoś tak pięknego.”

Spotkanie w Rio trwało kilka dni i skończyło się w zeszłą niedzielę mszą odprawioną przez Papieża Franciszka na słynnej plaży Capacabana. Na tej 4 km długiej i piaszczystej plaży zgromadziło się 3 mln młodych ludzi przybyłych tam z całego świata. W swoim kazaniu, Papież zachęcał młodych do „odnawiania świata na fundamencie tolerancji i miłości.” Wspomniał też o konieczności dzielenia się wiarą i dotarcia do najbardziej dalekich krańców ziemi, oraz do ludzi żyjacych na marginesie... Być chrześcijaninem, znaczy być misjonarzem.”

W tym samym czasie co w Rio de Janeiro, odbyło się spotkanie młodzieży w Dansolihon, w parafi prowadzonej przez Sercanów. Ponad 250 młodych przyjechało tam z rożnych kaplic i miejscowości, aby wspólnie modlić się i bawić. Ich głowną intencją, była łączność duchowa z Papieżem i młodymi z całego świata. To dwu-dniowe spotkanie było wspaniałe i dało okazję tym, którzy nie mogli pojechać do Brazyli, zasmakować atmosfery i ducha Rio. Dlatego też, zostało ono nazwane: DansoRio. Młodzież sercańska była rownież obecna i świetnie bawiła się tam w DansoRio.

Today our Dehonian youth came back from Brazil, from the World Youth Day. Our delegation was very small (Monika, Mitch & Jigger) but they did good job to represent us in the Dehonian Youth Meeting in Taubate and in Rio de Janeiro. They arrived in Cagayan very happy and excited. They said: “it was such excellent experience. Everybody was in such good spirit; you could just feel a sense of peace, joy and love… We had never seen something so marvelous as we have just lived. And they have many other things to share…

The WYD2013 lasted for a few days and was culminating with mass at Rio’s famed Capacabana beach with more than 3mln young people. The Pope challenged the youth with a message to build a new world based on tolerant and love. He urged the crowd to go out and to spread their faith “to the fringes of society, even to those who seem farthest away, most indifferent.” To be truly Christians means to be missionary.

Parallel to the meeting in Rio de Janeiro there was a meeting of the youth in our SCJ Parish in Dansolihon. 250 participants from different chapels and barangays came to pray and to enjoy together. All were united with Pope and youth throughout the world on that day. It was fantastic experience and a glimpse of Rio for those who couldn’t go to Brazil. All agreed then, to call their meeting as DansoRio. Dehonian youth were also present and play well during DansoRio.
